Non-executive Director
Martin Coyne
A Chartered Accountant, Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and member of the Institute of Directors. He is currently a Director of Corporate Finance Direct Limited and Ludgate Director First which specialise in business refinancing and restructuring and a Senior Partner of Poppleton & Appleby a long established and specialist business recycling and insolvency practice.
Over the last 30 years he has developed a specific niche for advising Boards of Directors whose businesses have had some form of cash problem. Using his particular expertise and skills he is able to offer a steadying influence on Board decisions in what can be a very stressful and traumatic period in the Company's life.
Fees are negotiable and are often a pleasant surprise to clients.
He is happy to act as a formal non-executive Director, where he would not be an employee of the business and only devote an agreed amount of time to the company. Equally he is happy to attend Board Meetings as required and advise as a Consultant in a professional capacity.
How can he help?
- Provide a positive attitude and approach to the Board, as a mentor for what may be a difficult period for the Board
- Provide informed and relevant expertise to support the Board and to ensure that they are at all times aware of their duties and responsibilities
- Advise on refinancing and restructuring opportunities.
- Advise on the best way to inject funds
- Advise on withdrawing funds when cash is tight
- Negotiation with pressing creditors, particularly key suppliers, HM Revenue and Customs and other lenders
- Liaising with other professional advisers
- To contribute to the company's successful resolution of its cash difficulties and provide a platform for the company's future success
