Invoice Discounting is a client lead facility with the borrowing secured against the sales ledger. The client raises the invoices, handles the credit control and collects payments from the customers. The monies are paid into a trust account from which the Discounter collects the monies from.
There are two types of Invoice Discounting disclosed and undisclosed (also known as confidential) both facilities operate the same.
The typical prepayment is 85% of invoice values with the remaining 15% less charges paid upon collection of the outstanding debt.
