Ludgate strengthens financing business with new board appointment
The Ludgate Partnership Limited (TLP) based on Ludgate Hill in Birmingham continues to expand the range of services that it offers with the appointment of well-known Birmingham specialist, Richard Mason.
Richard will be heading up their Ludgate Business Finance division with effect from 1 September 2007 and prior to joining TLP, he worked for Venture Finance in Birmingham for 11 years - latterly heading up their Invoice finance team and playing a key role in their development within the West Midlands.
His move from Venture Finance PLC in Birmingham will enable him to further his career in his first board level position.
TLP consists of three specialist divisions and includes Poppleton & Appleby, the largest and oldest independent Insolvency firm in the UK, dating back to 1885.
Richards’s new appointment will strengthen the management team at the firm and his 19 years experience within the business financial services sector will hold him in good stead for his new role.
During his time at Venture he helped develop the business with the implementation of new asset based lending products and completion of several challenging deals. He has already established a strong reputation for 'deal doing' within the Midlands business community and his move to TLP further enhances his abilities in this area.
Born and bred in Coventry his move to TLP will see him working alongside another Bablake School old boy, Martin Coyne - and together with the other partners of TLP they will be looking to build on the TLP brand within the West Midlands and Warwickshire.
His new role will include development of the firm's professional introducers, including accountants, lawyers and funders, together with forming new relationships with key connections in the city.
Richard commented, "I am absolutely delighted with my new appointment and look forward to developing their already extensive connections within the professional services community throughout the Midlands."
Working alongside fellow directors Martin Coyne, Andy Turpin and Matt Hardy his ability to package financing deals across the business spectrum will only add to the growth of the firm.
Martin Coyne, managing director of The Ludgate Partnership Limited commented, “Having worked with Richard on a number of successful projects during his 11 years at Venture, I see his appointment to our board as a natural progression.
"We have been searching for some time for an individual of Richards experience and stature and I see him as a key player in the continuing success of our firm."
